彼岸の入りの18日は、秋田北地方の各地で墓参風景が見られた。2月以降気温が高めに推移していることもあり、すっかり春めいた中での墓参となっている。 春彼岸は18日から24日までの7日間で、うち春分の日の21日は彼岸の中日。例年、墓参は21日に集中する傾向があるものの、毎年彼岸の入りと決めている人も少なくないほか、中には入り、中日、明け(最終日)の3日間足を運ぶ人も。
厳冬期に大雪に見舞われた昨シーズンは雪解けも遅く、彼岸に入っても墓地に多くの雪が残った。このため、スコップで雪寄せに汗を流してから墓前に線香や花を供えて先祖の霊を供養する光景が、秋田北地方でも随所で見られた。
一方、今年は気温の高め推移に伴って雪解けが早く、墓地によっては残雪がほとんどない所も。18日の秋田北地方は、一部で晴れ間をのぞかせながらもほぼ曇天模様で、雨や風もなく穏やかな墓参日和に。19日も好天に恵まれる見込みで、日曜日ということもあり、多くの人が訪れそう。

On the 18th, the first day of the spring equinox week, various places
in northern Akita were seen with scenes of visiting graves. Due to the
relatively warm temperatures since February, it has become a completely
spring-like grave visit. The spring equinox lasts for seven days from the 18th to the 24th, and
the 21st, which is the spring equinox day, is the middle day of the
equinox. Although grave visits tend to be concentrated on the 21st every
year, there are also many people who decide to visit on the first day of
the equinox, as well as those who visit for all three days of the equinox:
the first, middle, and last days. Last season, during the severe winter when there was heavy snowfall,
the snowmelt was delayed and there was still a lot of snow in the cemetery
even during the equinox. Therefore, scenes of shoveling snow and sweating
before offering incense and flowers at the grave to mourn the ancestors
were seen in various places in northern Akita. On the other hand, this year, due to the relatively warm temperatures,
the snowmelt has been early, and in some cemeteries, there is hardly any
remaining snow. In the northern part of Akita on the 18th, although there
were some glimpses of sunshine in some areas, it was mostly cloudy, and
there was no rain or wind, providing a calm and peaceful atmosphere for
grave visits. It is expected to be sunny on the 19th as well, and since it
is a Sunday, many people are likely to visit. (5:00 PM)
