本県の人口01万人あたり自殺者数を示す自殺死亡率は23.7で、全国2番目の高さだった。警察庁が14日公表した令和4年「自殺の状況」で示されたもの。

　同庁が作成した令和4年と3年の対比による自殺統計のうち東北各県の状況は下段のとおりだが、本県の自殺者数は224人で、東北の中では山形県の174人に次いで少ない方から2番目ながら、前年比では38人、20.4%の大幅増。

　これに伴い、本県の自殺死亡率は前年の19.7から23.7に上昇し、2年ぶりに20を超えた。全国最高は山梨県の24.7で、本県はこれに次ぐ高水準。ちなみに、前年は青森県の24.0が最高で、本県は高い方から10番目だったため、令和4年は実数、率ともに一気に悪化した形だ。

　本県の自殺者数224人の中で最も多い年齢層は80歳以上の43人で、これに70−79歳がほぼ同水準の42人と続き、全体の4割近くが70歳以上の高齢者で占めた。また、原因・動機別では健康問題が112人で全体の半数にのぼる。　(午前零時)
